Learn MoreThe Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) was established by Parliament Act No. 7 of 1986 with the responsibility of coordinating and promoting research and technology development activities in the country.
To fulfill this mandate, COSTECH is actively mobilizing funds to support the development of STI for socio-economic transformation. Through the National Fund for Science and Technology (NFAST), COSTECH provides financial support to researchers and innovators conducting scientific and technological research in the nationally prioritised areas.
As part of enhancing the quality of the funded research and Innovation projects, while maintaining integrity and fairness, COSTECH invites researchers and innovation experts, within and outside the United Republic of Tanzania (URT).
